The Lifestyle Lift

Ever since I can remember I’ve loved grocery shopping. It’s one of my absolute favourite things to do, and without question my favourite kind of store. I seek them out when we travel, opting to buy my own interesting, healthy foods instead of eating at restaurants. At home, I love to find seasonal and unconventional foods at our local grocery stores and markets to experiment with and create healthy recipes that keep our meal lives exciting. I love a beautifully stocked kitchen, and am intrigued when I visit friends and family as to what they have in their own fridges, cupboards and pantries, often offering my assistance with food preparation. If i’m lucky, they allow me carte blanch and i go into full on explorer mode making their kitchen my own. It’s definitely my favourite room in the house, and I’ve never met one that I didn’t like.
I also realized that I have a passion for food, (specifically healthy, whole foods) food preparation (as mentioned earlier) and giving advice on both, be it warranted or not! This gave me an idea.
I’ve heard a number of people express a need for a kitchen/food/diet/lifestyle revamps. Not necessarily only competitors, but everyday people with regular jobs and families, who just seem to be stuck in a rut and don’t quite know how to get out of it. People who feel they need someone to come to their home, go through the kitchen, clean out all the “bad” stuff and show them how to fill it with the “good” stuff. Following a diet can sometimes be restrictive and isolating, as it can take the fun out of socializing with family and friends if the events are food related. Some people may even get discouraged with a drastic change to their current lifestyle and fall back into old habits.
Here is where we introduce the “Lifestyle Lift” !! A brand new concept that encapsulates my own passion for healthy foods, grocery shopping and healthy lifestyle but with a gentler tone than “change”. It incorporates small alterations to your present lifestyle so that you can comfortably transition in small steps toward the bigger changes you wish to see under the guidance of a Holistic Nutritionist/Nutritional Counsellor.
This new concept creates safe, easy alterations in you and your family’s daily lifestyle and eating habits, grocery shopping and food preparation that can be maintained over the long term. It includes a morning, afternoon or evening commitment, initial consultation, lifestyle assessment, kitchen assessment, nutritional counselling, grocery shopping (it’s an adventure!!) and 1 simple, healthy meal preparation for you and your family. It is a day of immersion and integration. WE will learn new concepts, form new, health eating habits and get you and your family on the road to a healthier way of life.
